Taking my time

Every day I want to write in my blog, and my lack of internet at my home stops me. I've written entire blog posts from my phone, and to be completely honest, it's not fun. Therefore, I don't blog very much.

However, I'm still trying to be productive and happy and not look at my ex's facebook page and all that warm fuzzy pish posh. I'm going to look into getting some part time work and I'm actively working on getting an art show up before 2013. By the way, you're invited.

Last Saturday, I actually allowed myself the day off (instead of begging for extra hours as I usually do) and went to the Farmer's Market with Kacie on Cooper to partake in the merriment of vegatables and homemade knick knacks. Unfortunately the heat ruins all good things. So, we took ourselves over to a new(ish?) restaurant, Stone Soup. It was wonderful!

Nom.

It had such a homey feel, probably because it's a big old house that was turned into a restaurant. So Kacie and I had an impromptu best friend brunch date and it was fabulous.

While walking home we saw the old Statefarm at Cooper Young is now a local art gallery and gift shop called Allie Cat Arts. It is FANTASTIC! All local artists and crafters selling their work in this wonderful space... I felt like I was in a kind of utopia. A utopia with awesome sea creature sculpture...

I know that this Saturday (today) promises to be just as sweet.
